From installing utilities to prepare for our home construction, removing stumps to enable farming, cutting in and building up roads, needless to say, building and maintaining a farm is a lot of work!
We planned our main entry road over a creek that rises every heavy rain. We started with two 30" diameter culvert pipes but it wasn't enough after a bad storm, so we added an additional two 48" diameter culvert pipes each 30 ft long which continue to work well years later. The road surface is 7 ft over the creek bed.
Whether we are trying to enhance the property, or keeping animals in, we have become quite experienced in building and repairing fences and hanging gates.
The horses love their stall, the goats require field fencing to keep them in, and we put an 8ft fence around chicken coop for a free range area.
We purchased a used 2018 Kubota 3901 (40hp) and couldn't run a farm without it... even moved a hot tub with it.
